This is a lovely navy blue 'Bur-Mil' Rayon slip brought to you by Rhythm Lingerie. This slip is simple yet very elegant. The bodice has a chevron shaped insert of 2¾" giving a great shape for the cups and the waistline. The cups have a center seam and 2 darts from bottom to mid cup allowing for a great fit. The top edge of the slip has an overlay of same rayon fabric for a finished look. The adjustable straps are also of rayon and have metal slides. This slip is very old, circa 1940-50's, and does have a very small tear in the back (please see detail photo). Plus, it is difficult to see in the pictures, but the fabric seems to have oxidized over the years and there is a slight change of color from mid skirt to the bottom hem, however this certainly doesn't effect the wearability of this lovely garment. The label inside says 'Rhythm Lingerie of "Bur-Mil" Rayon fabric (32)', Washing instructions of backside (please see photo). This garment is in very good condition.
